Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR)

Total Exteriors Health and Safety Management System is currently being evaluated by the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) certified auditor to meet provincial standards established.

Total Exteriors makes safety on job-site projects and in our facilities our top priority. We are a leader in the industry, incorporating a NCSO safety officer that continues to ensure our training and certifications programs are current, which include but are not limited to:

• WHIMS (GHS) training
• Personal protective equipment assessments (PPE)
• Safety orientation for all staff
• JHA safety assessments
• Confined Space Safety Certification
• Scissor lift training
• Violence in the workplace training
• Fire extinguisher awareness
• Personal protective equipment
• Respirator fit

Our safety officer conducts site inspections, policy and procedure compliance, and liaises with Workers’ Compensation. Total Exteriors works with OH&S and WCB regarding its Injury and Disability Prevention Program. we also have our in-house health and safety management programs. Total Exteriors is diligently working towards obtaining the SECOR (Small Employer Certificate of Recognition) with an yearly internal and external audits that ensure the transparency and effectiveness of our health and safety program.

Total Exteriors involves our staff in safety meetings and promotes universal workplace safety for our employees and the general public. The role of being a responsible employer begins with a new employee orientation training which is delivered to our employees before they start their role. This training includes the mandatory worker health and safety awareness policies, company policies, WHMIS, fire extinguisher awareness, and violence in the workplace training. Also included in this orientation is a thorough review of the health and safety policies as well as an orientation to OH&S manual; each policy is reviewed with our employees and signed off on.

Total Exteriors is in the business of restoration and rebuilding of exterior components in any type of structure. We view safety as being a way of demonstrating our professional integrity, pride and workmanship.

Total Exteriors strive to meet the strictest protocols that involve the prevention of and protection from events that could endanger the safety of the general public from significant danger, injury/harm, in damage and assisting in disasters (natural or man-made).
